Frozen Fountain

John 7:38
“He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.”
God, You are a star in my life I can only see when it’s dark.
A reminder of hope, I can still play my part.
The sun comes up in the morning haze,
But gets drowned out in my skies of gray.
Will I get out of this one ok?
I don’t know.
Frozen in my mind, it always seems to snow.
No path to follow, no trail left behind.
The wind blows away my footprints each and every time.
Am I walking in circles?
I’ve been out so long, my lips are turning purple.
That’s alright.
I don’t have much to say during these lonely, winter nights.

I come upon a forest of talking trees,
Greeted with silence, they have nothing to say to me.
I’m looking for magic in a world that doesn’t exist.
If I don’t find impossibilities, I’m going to be pissed.
I refuse to waste my life, but I will not settle for less.
I am always met with strife, are there any treasures left?
God tell me if this search is in vain.
I hate that nothing ever seems to change.
Why put me in a world that I clearly don’t belong?
When all that’s here is frivolous, I’m stuck singing this stupid song.

If the chaos won’t be made right until You return.
Why must we sit here and watch it all burn?
If Your kingdom is supernatural and no one can see it,
Why give it to me, and tell me to build it?
All that You are is largely unseen,
Why do You instruct us, “Keep your eyes focused on Me.”
You gave me a hunger that is forever quenchless,
I really wish You didn’t because I will never get this.
The warmth of Your embrace,
Quickly fades away, as the cold cuts my face.
Everything was green at the base of this mountain.
Told to climb higher, and drink from the fountain.
Set off with high hopes that I would find life.
Now I can’t breathe, and the water turned to ice.
The fountain is frozen and lifeless, as am I.
Have I made it all this way, just to give up and die?
What happens now?
Do I wait here or make the trek down?

In the full moon’s light, I sense great urgency.
The wolves have caught my scent and are hungrier than me.
They gnash their teeth, pacing at the treeline.
I’m trying my best to look forward and not behind.
I swore to never doubt again.
But how can I not, it’s shaky ground I’m standing in.
Any moment, the vibrations could trigger an avalanche.
Against a landslide of snow, little ol me wouldn’t stand a chance.
Trapped on the mountain pass, waiting out the storm.
This is what I get for straying from the norm.
Though it’s terribly frigid at this high altitude,
I’d rather be stuck here than in traffic, next to someone rude.

Blankets of snow rain down from the sky.
Accumulating fast, with each blink of my eyes.
So many questions, none without reason.
I’ll learn the answers, but probably next season.
This episode left much to be desired.
The finale will be better, with greatness to be aspired.
Cliffhanger.
The main character feels like a stranger.
I’m holding on for something incredible to happen.
Eyes on the horizon, is the time yet upon us, my Captain?

But I know, one day the ice will thaw.
And I will be there, standing in awe.
The fount will overflow with a rush of mighty water.
You will be the current, no longer will my feet wander.
Swooshing and sliding down the slopes,
We’ll bring precisely what everyone craves the most.
Forgotten will be the chilling bite of the frost.
Shackles thought permanent, from our minds, will be tossed.
The river can never be turned back.
Carving through ancient mountains with the sound of a thunder clap.
All will see, and all will hear.
Without watchmen, to all will be made clear.
The love that made them follow Him,
Will rise to the unreachable, and it’s worth jumping in.

Waterfall Blossom Dream by Yetiland
– Yetiland

This water can’t be bottled for a profit.
Untouched by terror, and those who seek to stop it.
Our new weapon, wielded as creative power.
We felt it being forged, ready to unleash at this hour.
All can have a sword, so brandish it often.
Watch as angry eyes, finally begin to soften.
Hearts submerged, will pump to a different beat.
Flushing out the things weighing us down like concrete.
We pack light, launching headfirst into our quest.
And to think living water flows out from our chest.

The means by which this flows, are both you and I.
It’s the only way these flightless birds can be taught how to fly.
“I’m your instructor, you could say I’m a veteran.
I’ve done this a long time, do you mind if I step in?
My dear children, there is much to learn.
A great work to be done before My return.
But fret not, this teaching is for a child’s mind.
Simple obedience, can defuse a world of landmines.
I’m at your door.
Holy Spirit wants to move like never before.
Know you are not weak, you’ve just been blinded.
Built your mind a prison your are currently confined in.
Nevertheless, a jailbreak is in order.
Guilty or not, I will crash through your borders.
You can’t stop the flood, no matter how high your walls.
You will always find Me standing in the thick of it all.”

I see Him approaching in wind-wrapped light.
A smile on His face, not a single cloud in sight.
The winter that made us ever long captives,
Retreats before Him, against His dynamic rapids.
What we thought was killed by the frost,
Was actually preserved for this time, so as not to be lost.
How harmonious the sound of life in full bloom.
Under the sun, creation stands liberated from the tomb.
To be entirely alive, we have to choose to live.
It happens in the everyday moments, there’s no alternative.
The power we hold,
Bears fruit through our choices I’m told.
Split your lips and fill your lungs.
“It’s not with clenched fists, but open hands that My Kingdom comes.”

“Lift your face and wonder skyward.
As I saturate the atmosphere, and permeate the suffered.
Can you see it now, a land drenched in captivation?
What I accomplish through you, will be the talk of nations.
But we won’t stop there, no time to delay.
The fountain’s outpouring, we have begun to portray.
Master crafted by the hands of the Potter.
Could it be why I made you of mostly water?”
By design it cascades without end,
The once spinning arrow, now points around the river bend.
Spray from the waterfall generates a smokescreen.
But we realize what lies hidden deep in the ravine.
And now that we know what it means,
The time is here to make visible the unseen.
